Test-assistant (part-time)

Are you passionate about technology and the environment? Our start-up in the green tech industry (innovative drilling technique for heat pumps) is looking for part-time test assistants eager to assist us during test days.

About GEHECO

One of the big sources of CO2 is the heating of homes. Our mission is to enable all home owners to comfortably heat their home with the superior ground-bounded heat pumps, by solving its Achilles’ heel, which is the drilling of the well.

GEHECO is a Delft based young and forward-thinking company. We are developing a revolutionary new drill tool that is able to place the wells way easier and cheaper, ultimately from within the home. Position: Test-assistant

Key Responsibilities / What you will do:

• Assist with tests, during testing of a prototype a lot of manual handling is required. We therefor often need an extra set of smart hands & eyes.
• The practical work consists of:
  • Help setting up the tests, and configuring the prototype
  • While testing, delivering practical assistance where needed
  • Help with data capturing
  • Do ad-hoc engineering work on the test location, to make changes or configure a new set-up for the next test series
• Collaboration; we are a small team where every individual counts. We need your analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and practical mind-set to improve our product and drive our projects forward. 

What you bring:

• You are a very pragmatic and enthusiastic individual pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related technical fields.  
• Passion for making things work. Your practical talent to help create a real, working prototype is what counts most in this assignment.
• Pragmatism; what works works, you have a passion for making stuff work.
• You are flexible and able to cope with the uncertainties (and freedom!) of working at a start-up.

Location: Delft (YesDelft building)

Duration: you will be part of a pool of test-assistants, when needed the work will be scheduled among you

Hours: part-time & flexible (nul-uren contract), on average approx. 1 day a week (we plan to create a pool of test assistants, which we will contact on a weekly basis to schedule the testing)
