GEHECO wants to enable carbon-neutral heating in as many buildings as possible.
Many homeowners want to heat CO2 neutral. A Water-water (Brine) heat pump is one of the most efficient ways to reduce Co2 for heating houses and buildings. Currently the bottleneck is the drilling of the well, it is expensive, not feasible or cumbersome. If we could mitigate the main disadvantage of Water-Brine Heat pumps, which is the drilling, this would be a great catalyst to shift to CO2 neutral heating systems
GEHECO (based in Delft, the Netherlands) is developing a way to lay the well substantially easier and cheaper. Our solution is much more compact, therefore able to create a well, in places current drilling solutions cannot.

Internship
Prototyping Drill Head
Key Responsibilities:
- Detailed design of prototypes; pragmatically create the drawings required to create prototypes
- Build prototypes; you will make the improved prototypes of the drill head
- Collaboration; we are a small team where every individual counts. We need your analytical thinking and problem solving skills to improve our product and drive our projects forward.
- Engage in problem-solving exercises, learn by doing on a daily basis and contribute fresh perspectives to the development of the GEHECO product.
Location: Delft (Yes!Delft building)
Duration: Sep 2024 to Feb 2025 (6 months)

Internship
Surface Tool Design & optimalization
Key Responsibilities:
- Detailed design of prototypes; pragmatically create the drawings required to create prototypes
- Build prototypes; you will make and improve the prototypes of the surface tool
- Collaboration; we are a small team where every individual counts. We need your analytical thinking and problem solving skills to improve our product and drive our projects forward.
- Engage in problem-solving exercises, learn by doing on a daily basis and contribute fresh perspectives to the development of the GEHECO product.
Location: Delft (Yes!Delft building)
Duration: Sep 2024 to Feb 2025 (6 months)

Internship
Electronics and control
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and create control electronics; pragmatically create the control components and sensors (hardware) that allow the drill to be controlled automatically.
- Develop the software to do the control.
- You will devise control strategies for optimizing the drilling process.
- Collaboration; we are a small team where every individual counts. We need your analytical thinking and problem solving skills to improve our product and drive our projects forward.
- Engage in problem-solving exercises, learn by doing on a daily basis and contribute fresh perspectives to the development of the GEHECO product.
